Art For Life Chicago 2023

Art For Life Chicago Guest Jurors plus Co-Chairs Darren Jones, Oliver Aguilar and Kim Winzeler invite you to submit your art and be part of the Art For Life Chicago (AFLC) 2023 Juried Competition, Exhibition and Auction event to benefit those living with and vulnerable to HIV/AIDS.

By entering, winning and being part of AFLC, you will not only be helping others, you will also gain exposure and expand your network of art collectors and fellow artists. You may also benefit from our Auction Gallery, plus have a submission in our Show Catalog and enjoy shout outs via our social media campaign.

And if that's not enough, AFLC will be hosting "Three for Life", a three person show in the spring of 2024. Donate your art to AFLC today and be automatically entered in the competition to be one of the three lucky artists selected by our esteemed curator.  

In addition to the “Three for Life” show, eight artists will also have the opportunity to have their artwork placed in an auction during the River North Design District Art Walk Afterparty in September. These artists will be contacted by AFLC Co-Chairs after the jury process has been completed. This is an opportunity for further exposure to the design world with both events!

There is NO entry fee to submit your artwork for AFLC. Please use the submission instructions document below to help you complete your entries. 

Art For Life Chicago Specifications:

Acceptable art submissions include ceramics, drawing, collage, fiber art, 3-D, mixed media, printing making, painting, glass, sculpture, photography, watercolor, neon and digital media.

Submit a photo of your artwork by the August 11, 2023 deadline.
Please send the photo to be judged in the JPG format and up to 2MB in size.

We cannot accept actual artwork prior to and during the judging period.

You will be notified by the end of August if your work is selected for the event and auction by our Jurors.

Jurors will select up to one (1) piece of your artwork for inclusion in the event and auction. Artwork must be shipped to the DIFFA Chicago office for the in-person event. The artist is responsible for delivery or shipping of artwork to the designated address when determined. By submitting actual artwork to AFLC, it will be considered a donation to DIFFA Chicago and proceeds will be put to good use by our Excellence In Care grantees. Winners will also be asked to send a high resolution 300 dpi TIF or EPS file at a minimum of 8x10 inches in size by August 22, 2023 for inclusion in our AFLC Show Catalog.

Art For Life Chicago will be held in person on Thursday, October 12, 2022, at The Mart, Chicago, IL.  As a winning and participating artist, you will receive one (1) event ticket, one (1) Show Catalog and the opportunity to win a spot in the Three For Life Show.
